WHEN TO USE
Use after a mistake, a bad quarter, or an external shock has left you feeling like your worth is on the line.
WHAT TO DO
Write the event in neutral language, then sort your thinking into three columns: Facts, the Story About Me (the harsh, sweeping self-talk), and a Truer Story that separates you from the event while still owning your part. Mark what’s actually yours to fix versus what’s outside your control, then name a few other roles and qualities that make up who you are beyond this one outcome.
