WHEN TO USE
Use when you’ve been treating professionalism and warmth as if they’re in tension with each other.
WHAT TO DO
You don’t need to be personal, but you do need to be personable. Caring for people doesn’t require closeness, just treating them as full human beings. If you already believe this, find one small, specific way to make your care more visible this week. If the idea makes you uncomfortable, start smaller: notice one moment where a colleague could use acknowledgment and name it plainly, without changing who you are.
