EQ in Policing
Our new Developing EQ™ in Policing program recognizes the importance of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) for our law enforcement officers and gives them the tools they need to engage with the community each and every day.
Emotions are intertwined in everything you think, do, and say—on the job and throughout your life. Emotional Intelligence is how you recognize and manage your own emotions and the emotions of others. This is a crucial skill for our essential officers who are tasked with making critical split-second decisions daily.
By integrating real-world examples with Emotional intelligence strategies and skill development, we take officers on a learning journey that can provide the foundation for their professional development.
Developing EQ in Policing
This training workshop is geared specifically towards law enforcement professionals to experience an accelerated introduction to emotional intelligence (EQ). Officers will be able to understand their current level of EQ from our Emotional Intelligence Appraisal® assessment results; identify their strengths; and uncover opportunities for further development. They will also learn strategies to put into practice right away on the job that will positively impact their stress management, decision making, and influence within their community.
