Emotional Intelligence Appraisal Passcode in Emotional Intelligence 2.0 Book
To take the Emotional Intelligence Appraisal, please click HERE (link) or visit www.talentsmarteq.com/test. If you have an English language copy of Emotional Intelligence 2.0, select “Take the Test.” For all other languages, more information can be found here: (link to the “languages other than English” section)
You will be directed to enter the passcode from your copy of Emotional Intelligence 2.0, and your name and email address. The appraisal is 28 questions and will take approximately 7-10 minutes to.
The passcode will be in the envelope along with additional instructions to take your online appraisal. If the book has a foiled box, gently scratch off the foil using a coin. Please do not peel the foil, as the code will not be legible for use.
Your 10-character passcode will begin with “EQ.” Please use this passcode to take your appraisal by clicking HERE (link) or by visiting talentsmarteq.com/test and clicking the “Take the Test” button.
After your Kindle order has been processed, Amazon sends a follow-up email that includes the passcode. It can take up to 24 hours for the passcode to arrive in your inbox. The subject of the email is “Your Amazon.com Promotional Code” and would have been sent to the email address you have registered with your Kindle account. Please search your inbox and spam folders for the email.
If you cannot find or did not receive the email, please contact Amazon Kindle Support at 1-866-216-1072 and refer to the “Promotional Code” included with your purchase. You may also contact a representative by visiting http://www.amazon.com/clicktochat.
After your Audible order has been processed, Audible sends a follow-up email that includes the appraisal passcode. It can take up to 24 hours for your passcode to arrive in your inbox. The subject of the email is “Supporting Documents for Emotional Intelligence 2.0 (Unabridged)” and would have been sent to the email address you have registered with your Audible account. Please search your inbox and spam folders for the email.
If you cannot find the email, please contact Audible Customer Care at 1-888-283-5051 to request that they resend the email with your passcode included.
After purchasing the e-book, your passcode will be located on your MyShelf page after signing in with your school email address.
For assistance with any technical difficulties in accessing your MyShelf page, please email [email protected] or call 877-612-2233.
After purchasing the e-book, your Emotional Intelligence appraisal passcode will be located in your Bookshelf after signing in with your VitalSource account information. Select the button to “Reveal Access Code.” The resulting 10-character passcode beginning with EQ will be your Emotional Intelligence appraisal passcode.
If you received an e-book code from your employer to redeem your copy of Emotional Intelligence 2.0 on VitalSource, please note that the Emotional Intelligence Appraisal passcode is separate from the e-book redemption code.
Please email a picture of your book’s damaged or unreadable passcode, along with a picture of your book’s purchase receipt, to [email protected]. Our team will review and respond within 24-48 hours.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide support for e-books purchased from a reseller that is not a TalentSmart, Inc. partner. If you have purchased an e-book through a reseller other than Kindle, Audible, VitalSource, or RedShelf, we recommend reaching out directly to the reseller for assistance with receiving a passcode.
If the reseller is unable to provide a passcode, we recommend returning your copy and repurchasing the book from one of our partners: Amazon Kindle (link), Audible (link), or VitalSource (link). If purchasing from VitalSource, your passcode will be immediately available within your VitalSource Bookshelf. Each brand new copy of Emotional Intelligence 2.0 includes one unique passcode that is available for one person to use twice – once for the original test, and once for the retest to be taken in six . If your book includes a passcode that was previously used by someone else, we recommend returning this copy to the reseller and repurchasing a “brand new” copy.

360 Refined Self-Assessment Passcode in Leadership 2.0 Book
To take your 360 Refined Self-Assessment, please click HERE (link) or visit talentsmarteq.com/refined and enter the passcode from your copy of Leadership 2.0.
In the last few pages of the book, there will be a blue envelope. The passcode will be in the envelope along with additional instructions to take your 360 Refined Self-Assessment. Assessment Portal
Please visit talentsmarteq.com/test and select “View my Report.” You will be directed to enter your book’s ten-character passcode and the email that you registered when first completing the appraisal.
After signing in to your portal, select the blue “View Report” icon. To download as a pdf, click the download button on the top right of the report.
After completing your original appraisal, your retest will automatically become available 6 months later. You will receive an email with a direct link to your retest included.
We strongly recommend waiting six months and practicing your chosen EQ strategies before taking your retest. If you would like to access your retest prior to the recommended 6 months, please request to manually open your retest by calling (858) 509-0582 ext. 3, or submitting a support ticket (link).
To access your online assessment portal, please visit www.talentsmarteq.com/test and click “View my Report.” Enter your book’s passcode and the email address associated with your account.
You will then be directed to your assessment portal, where you can resume your test by selecting the green assessment icon.
Please sign in to your TalentSmart account by visiting https://www.talentsmarteq.com/login/. On the lefthand menu, select the tab “Assessment Resources.” There, you will find written and video guides for launching your assessments, along with the answers to frequently asked questions.
Language Other Than English
Emotional Intelligence 2.0 has been translated into a number of different languages by publishers throughout the world. In the first few pages of the book, included in the copyright information, the publisher of your book is listed along with a contact email. Please reach out directly to this publisher for concerns regarding your passcode.
Once you receive your passcode from the publisher, please visit talentsmarteq.com/test and select the applicable language to begin your appraisal.
